I had a Kia Optima that was a GDI and I wasn't aware at the time that this needed to be done. I had 130,000 miles on it and it got the same mileage as when it was brand new and the power was still there. Never a rough running engine or anything like is being discussed. I traded it on a Mazda CX-5 and this cleaning is all I'm hearing about. Every time I go for an oil change the dealer wants to sell me a induction cleaning for $160. So now I am trying to learn.

Thanks I will try this but I will try using "Dry teflon" lubricant in spray. pretty much i would disconnect the cables and spray the teflon all the way in the cable until it gets to the cabin and also on bushing contact surfaces, the idea is that this wont be catching dirt or dust in it. hopefully fixing this

I’d be willing to bet that the oiled K&N is soiling the down stream sensors and TB. The solvent spray would of course reduce the buildup.

No change in filter globally for the Miata even though outside of the U.S. 5w30 or 10w30 is used.

If the oil recommended outside the US isn't 0w20, I wonder if the recommended filter is different.

I plan on doing this annually on my 23 cx-5 sig turbo, only drive about 6-8 k a year.

Gotta wedge the far end under a lip somewhere, so you are not lifting the whole thing and can work against it.

I have the same problem that I plan to repair in the next day or two. My problem was caused by me using an improper ladder without the roof attachment, so the ladders not resting on the gutters like yours is. 😮

I am totally late to the upgrade game on this one because I loved the AIO tweaks and didn't want to lose touch screen while driving. Well, my digitizer started to delaminate and so I had to do work anyway and the unofficial Android Auto was too flaky...so I bit the bullet and did the upgrade. I just have to say, your video was perfect. It saved me a bunch of time with the fishing trick. I think every other video I've seen they really lead you to take more pieces off. I've seen videos with the entire dashboard off. Makes no sense. Your video was super helpful, thank you!

Superb hack. Worked great on my 2009 UK Fiesta - problem - battery dead and manual lock not working. I just made a few changes to make it a bit safer. On the Fiesta, access to the starter motor is difficult because it's blocked by the oil filter. But the battery cable runs underneath it in a plastic duct and you can 'break into' it by cutting a bit of tape and levering the duct open with a suitable screwdriver. It seems to clip back up OK afterwards. So - 1) Don't make any connections to the 'jump' battery at first. Connect the jump cable under the car to the battery cable (on the Fiesta, I couldn't get cleanly onto the cable so clipped partly onto the duct plastic - quite safe as its not metal) and the black cable to a good earth, like the engine. Get out from under the car. 2) If you have one, check your connections with a meter. You should still have a few volts on a 'dead' battery. I had about 3 or 4 volts. That tells you your connections are good. If you get 0 volts you've either got a short, have connected to the wrong bit or have an exceptionally dead battery. You could maybe do a continuity test to see if you have a short. Any issues rejig your cables and repeat. 3) Once its all looking good, connect the NEG ONLY on the jump battery Hold the POS in one hand and the keyfob in the other. Then briefly touch the POS to the POS terminal of the jump battery and be prepared to pull it away quick if you get any more than a few small sparks. If its all looking good hold on the POS terminal just long enough to press 'Unlock' with your other hand and it should pop open. Worked great for me anyway. Car open and no dramas. The fact I had to get under the car in a puddle wasn't great though.

I purchased my p u r filter picture and today will be my 2-month mark where I am replacing the filter and I could not figure out how to get the first filter out before swapping it with the new one. I appreciate the instructions step by step in your video and it helped me to change my filter for me to continue to enjoy the p u r picture system. Thanks so much

Hello. Is the trunk volume different in the softtop and hardtop versions?

Im not a fan of chrome trimmings, so the CX70 is more appealing to me.

The heat pumps we have up north are good to about -15 degrees celsius (5F), but not all of them have the built in backup that youre talking about, so people have to install baseboards to compensate. Gotta make sure you buy the correct units for where you live!

I also use a spray bottle with soapy water which helps locate leaks by bubbly water. I also replace the plug kit glue every spring because sometimes they solidify in the summer heat--I found that out on my motorcycle. Thanks for the vid.
